Yep, the official results are that SJ was 10th and Alyssa was 11th. Those who watched at 5.00 a.m. this morning would have enjoyed both skates. Well done SJ and Lys. Bev
Sorry no photos as Alyssa has a technical problem
Thanks Alyssa for supplying us with updates and photos. We know it is a busy time when you are skating and we really appreciate your efforts.

Notes from Alyssa
Hello again :) 7am training this morning!!! was not too keen on the idea but had to do it. aparently they had sanded the floor and they were up until 4am making sure it was good. well good news people (sarcasim), it still sucks....so SJ and I borrowed some wheels off the ozzies. can you believe it?? they are ...hockey wheels! so we bort some today, they are called formula and the are 88a.(SOFT!!!) we had a freedance training last night. We had a little freak because we new that foxes were just not going to cut it on that floor as they would still be to slippery so caro runs up to us and tells us that shes found some 88a freestyle wheels. The man was busy telling us how you could only use one wheel per skate blah blah but we knew he was stupid and so Sj and e
went halfs in a set and we are fine with half 88's half foxes (thank god because they were the LAST set). so there has been a bit of drama and worries in our team but i think we finally have it sorted for tomorrows compulsories event. so today it will be all relaxing for our senoir dance skaters while the junior team, ...management and supporters have gone to the black forest which im sure they are all having a great time. Opening cermemony is tonight. im sure it will be as amazing if not better then the junior one.
well thats all from me now.Monday 16 November

Report from Alyssa:
So Saturday finally comes to an end and our juniors are off having their fairwell party at the rink. Today was a long day for all of us. We started the day off with junior freedance. Both our girls skated fantastic and should be really proud :) Emma P skated a good long ending up 30th overall and 12th in the... combined. Well Done Emma. Exciting free pairs...a few falls from mid air which made me and salome cringe but the atmosphere which supported the germans was so amazing.
Senior country training tamorrow as well as sams official figure training x2.

Emma placed 30th after short programme

Notes from Jane - in Freiburg
Junior solo dance this morning. Both girls skated well. Emma in 13th and Salome in 14th after compulsories. They both did really good dances and performed well and got a good range of marks. Placings vary from 5th to 13th for Emma and 8th to 14th for Salome so its all over the place really.
Salome has drawn 1st and Emma 4th to skate for freedance.
Emma and Emma did really well in figures yesterday. Both skated good sets of figures. Emma P was very consistent over all 4 figures and had an overall placing of 15th and Emma H skated good figures although her loop dropped her a few places she pulled back a few more with a very nice bracket. She ended up 22nd. Grade was won by Italy who skated 4 strong consistant figures, Jess (USA) pulled up to 2nd after a weak start with an exceptional loop which should have been pulling all 9s but only managed a couple and the rest high 8s. It was beautiful. Germany placed 3rd.
Emma skates short programme this afternoon. She has drawn 2nd to last to skate so that will be novel for her ... a very long wait!!
Alyssa and Sam made it safely here and have been a great addition to the camp. Senior girls went to a rink south of here for training yesterday and today. Crossed the border into Switzerland (cant work out whether that was accidental or not .... no one is telling me!!!). Nigel (Aussie TM) hired a car and drove them down. They were treated like royalty... they had food and drink for them all and pressies and the rink all heated etc etc!! They may not want to come home!!
Opening ceremony tonight. They have a show planned. Rumour has it that Patrick and Beatrice are skating!!!
Its quite mild today and sunny for a change so we are fortunate.
Report from Coach KYLIE
Another quick training today and everyone very excited to see more teams arriving! Everyone in good spirits and looking forward to the first official training day tomorrow. Will be a long day! Supermarket across the street so we have all stocked up for the next couple of days for lunchs! Skating floor good today (ap...art from when they spilt grease in the middle when they were moving equipment, but hopefully that will get cleaned up!) Cold and raining!!! just how I like it!!

NOTES from Jane - in Freiburg
Junior team eventually arrived in Freiburg Germany after 38 hours travelling early Friday morning. Took us 11 hours just to get out of Australia as we flew via Sydney and Adelaide to Singapore. Flight from Singapore to Frankfurt was pretty bumpy as well. All survived the crossing in pretty good shape.
Our hotel in Freiburg is pretty nice and we are all well settled in here. The Australian team arrived yesterday and the Americans are also staying here and they arrived today.
We have had 2 training sessions at the official venue for Juniors which is pretty good. All the team seem to like the floor. Nice and fast and grippy. All the girls are getting their skating legs back and getting into training. Emma P managed to have a great conversation with the floor yesterday which required 2 stitches at the Freiburg hospital in her chin but all is well and she is OK. It didn't seem to affect her training at all today.
We have done a bit of wandering around here in Freiburg. Its very pretty also very cold. It might even snow this week. It has snowed overnight on the hills around the city and very chilly today.
We have managed to find some pretty cheap food which is great. Supermarket across the road yielded todays lunch which cost the princely sum of 1 euro and 50cents each.
Whole team I think managed to be awake at about 3am this morning and were all up in our different rooms having cups of tea and twiddling our thumbs. Hopefully tonight will be better!!
All going well so far. Our numbers will increase on Tuesday with the arrival of Vilma and Margaret from England and Alyssa and Sami arrive on Wednesday.
