Speed Skating

The Speed Sport Committee administers the sport of speed skating. The sport involves speed racing on inline and roller skates. Inline skates are now preferred by most skaters. Races vary in distance depending on age, with some open events available for skaters of teenage years. The committee organizes banked track (outdoor oval concrete track) , flat track (indoor on a wooden floor) and road speed events, along with open tour type events.
